History & Overview<\/h3>\n

\n Shinwa Foreign Language Academy was established in April 1990 and relocated to Takadanobaba in April 2013.<\/p>\n

\n Conveniently located in Takadanobaba (Shinjuku Ward)\u2014an area with excellent access to central Tokyo\u2014the academy operates three campus buildings (Building No. 1, No. 2, and No. 3). In response to today’s growing international exchange and the increasingly diverse needs of Japanese-language education, we strive to provide an optimal learning environment.<\/p>\n

\n Our experienced instructors work closely with each student, offering tailored guidance in multiple languages\u2014including Chinese, English, Korean, Nepali, and Vietnamese\u2014to efficiently develop students\u2019 Japanese proficiency to a high standard within limited timeframes and under varying conditions. Our ultimate goal is to nurture globally competent individuals ready to thrive on the international stage.<\/p>\n

\n Beyond Japanese-language instruction, students benefit from our well-equipped facilities, which include air conditioning\/heating, televisions, DVD\/Blu-ray players, dedicated student computers, self-study rooms, lounges, and a health room. Additionally, our student dormitory in Nishi-Waseda accommodates up to 78 residents, enabling students to comfortably immerse themselves in Japanese society.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

 Educational Philosophy and Features<\/h3>\n
\n \ud83c\udfeb Small Class Sizes with Homeroom Teacher System <\/strong>
\n Each class is composed of an average of 15 students. A homeroom teacher leads each class, providing attentive, personalized instruction tailored to every student’s needs. Despite being a large school overall, our small class sizes foster close relationships between students and teachers, creating a warm, welcoming atmosphere where students feel comfortable discussing anything with their teachers.

\n \ud83d\udde3\ufe0f Developing Practical Language Proficiency<\/strong>
\n Our curriculum is designed to cultivate well-balanced Japanese language skills across all four areas\u2014listening, speaking, reading, and writing\u2014based on a strong foundational knowledge. Beyond merely acquiring knowledge, we place strong emphasis on output-oriented activities such as essay writing, speeches, and presentations to develop practical, real-world Japanese communication abilities.

\n We offer specialized courses tailored to each proficiency level for the Examination for Japanese University Admission for International Students (EJU) and the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test (JLPT). Additionally, mock exams are administered within the school prior to official test dates to help students prepare effectively.

\n Classes are held from Monday to Friday, and there are no classes on Saturdays, Sundays, or public holidays.
\n Students cannot choose the morning class or afternoon class by themselves.
\n Class assignments are determined based on the results of the placement test.
